What makes this program unique compared to other Accounting programs?
Iowa Western offers two different Accounting programs including a one-year diploma Accounting Technician program and a two-year AAS degree Para-Accounting program. Both programs are designed to allow students to enter the workforce after graduation. In addition, our class sizes are small, allowing for one-on-one assistance from instructors.
Are scholarships available?
Iowa Western awards more than $1.5 million in scholarships each year. Visit our Scholarship Pagefor more information.
Do I have to follow the recommended course sequence?
No, you can take most courses in any order you like, and you can enroll part-time or full-time. However, the program chair recommends that students follow this sequence as closely as possible. The program is designed to allow students to graduate in two years while completing the credits required for most Bachelor degree programs at four-year colleges and universities.
What are the admissions requirements?
All Iowa Western students are required to submit an Application for Admission, complete placement testing, and submit official copies of high school and college transcripts. For more information on admissions requirements, visit our Admissions page.
