Q:

What makes this program unique?

A:

Students in this program create a portfolio detailing what they have learned through their work experiences, for which they can potentially receive 30 college credits. Other programs in the area award credit in chunks based on specific learning and require students to pay for each credit separately, but at Iowa Western you take the entire portfolio at once and pay one flat fee for up to 30 credits.

Q:

What are the admissions requirements for this program?

A:

All Iowa Western students are required to submit an Application for Admission, complete placement testing, and submit official copies of high school and college transcripts. In addition to the college admission requirements, the Applied Business program also requires all students to meet with the program chair to discuss the program in more detail. Q:

Are there additional fees for this program?

A:

Students pay a flat fee of $325 for credits documented, up to the maximum of 30 credits. Students will work one-on-one with an experienced instructor to complete their documentation of credits.

Q:

Are scholarships available?

A:

Iowa Western awards more than $1.5 million in scholarships each year. Visit our Scholarship Page for more information.
