What makes this program unique compared to other Dental Assistant programs?
The Dental Assistant program is very hands-on, and the small class sizes allow for one-on-one interaction with the instructor. In addition, students perform their clinical at Creighton Dental School and area dental offices.

The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), and specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation and the United States Department of Education.
What are Dental Assistant classes like?
Students will spend time in classroom and laboratory settings. Classes are typically scheduled Monday thru Friday 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.
What are the admissions requirements for this program?
All Iowa Western students are required to submit an Application for Admission and official copies of high school and college transcripts. In addition to the college admission requirements, the Dental Assistant program also requires students to meet some additional admissions criteria. What classes should I take in high school to prepare for this program?
Math courses, science courses, Medical Terminology, and foreign language courses are very helpful.
