Does this program have any additional fees?
Many of the lab science classes required for this program require lab fees ranging $15-$30 per class depending on the specific class and supplies needed.
Which classes should I take in high school to prepare for this program?
High school students should take as many additional math and science classes as possible. Courses such as algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, biology, anatomy and physiology, and chemistry are very helpful.
Are Iowa Western credits transferrable?
Yes. In fact, this program is specifically designed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Because the majority of Iowa Western students intend to transfer, we offer a variety of resources for our transfer students. Do I have to follow the recommended course sequence?
No, you can take most courses in any order you like, and you can enroll part-time or full-time. However, the program chair recommends that students follow this sequence as closely as possible. The program is designed to allow students to graduate in two years while completing the credits required for most Bachelor degree programs at four-year colleges and universities.
