What makes this program unique compared to other Wind Energy programs?
Iowa Western offers two options for students interested in a career in Wind Energy: a one-semester certificate program and a two-year AAS degree program. Both programs are very hands-on, consist of small class sizes, and are deigned to put students into the workforce immediately after graduation.
What is the job outlook?
Our graduates are trained to perform routine maintenance on wind turbines. Careers in Wind Energy are available virtually everywhere, and in some cases, graduates may need to travel to find them. However, Iowa is one of the leading producers of wind energy in the country and the job market is good.
Are scholarships available?
