Continuing Education
Continuing Education at the Cass County Center in Atlantic offers community members the opportunity to gain knowledge in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. For example, students can take classes in fitness and gardening for recreation; personal finance and computers for personal development; and insurance, real-estate and CPR for license recertification. English Language Learners (ELL)
The Cass County Center offers special tutoring sessions for those individuals interested in learning the English language. These free classes, taught in English, are available for anyone of any nationality. For more information contact the Cass County Center at 712-243-5527.
GED
The Cass County Center offers GED instruction and testing to qualified individuals. A qualified instructor assesses each individual student to determine strengths and a starting level which results in an individualized instruction plan focused on the student’s needs. Iowa Western Community College offers GED testing in several Southwest Iowa locations.
GED class schedule:
Tuesday and Wednesday mornings 9 a.m. – 12 noon.
Thursday evenings 5:30– 7:30 p.m.
