Intro to Workplace Computing Certificate

Welcome to the world of computers! This FREE training program is designed for dislocated workers, students requiring skills enhancement, and others with little to no previous computer experience. Through this comprehensive and hands-on interactive training, you’ll develop the basic computer skills and confidence to apply the knowledge learned to help you enter the job market, get a better job, and succeed at the workplace. Classes include:

  • Keyboarding for Computers
  • Intro to Word
  • Intro to Internet and Email
  • Intro to Computers
  • Intro to Windows 7

Basic Workplace Computing Certificate

Take your workplace computing skills to the next level!This is a great introductory program for those with some computer skills comfortable with using Windows, keyboard, and mouse. Students who have successfully completed the "Intro to Workplace Computing Certificate" program are encouraged to go into this program next.

Develop the basic computer skills and increase your comfort level with basic computer-use skills to aid you with workforce readiness. Learning is reinforced with plenty of illustrations and practical hands-on projects and exercises. Quick Source guides included. Classes can be taken individually for the class fee. Fee $327

GAP Tuition Assistance is available for Iowa Residents who qualify. To receive certificate, successfully complete the required Microsoft Office 2010 basic applications:
