Admissions Advisor/International Specialist
Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology
University of Nebraska, Lincoln
What do I do at Iowa Western?
I hold a couple of roles at IWCC, all of them equally important. As an Admissions Advisor, my role is to guide all prospective students through the admission process. Once officially a Reiver, I then assist our students to register, complete their financial aid, and most importantly- make sure they are on the right track to complete all program requirements. As an International Specialist at IWCC I specialize in International admission and immigration processes for our International population, both prospective and current.
Favorite IWCC Moment:
My favorite moment was when our new Welcome Center opened in Fall 2011. It is our One-Stop Shop for Admission, Enrollment, Financial Aid, Veteran Affairs, Work Study, Cashier, and Registration. It’s conveniently located on the first floor of Clark Hall, and a must see for all new and returning students!
Hobbies and Interests:
I love to travel, which has probably been born of my various adventures growing up. I have lived in 2 different countries and 5 different states within the U.S.A. As an adult, I have made it a habit to take as many mini-vacations as time will allow. I have thus far vacationed in 7 other states outside of Nebraska and 5 different countries. My other loves are: Reading, Nature Walks, Photography, & Scrapbooking.
Favorite Sports Team:
Go Big Red! Huskers!!
