Informationtion Technology is an enabling profession. No matter what your interests are or what company you work for, computers and information are used to solve problems. Today, many companies use processes called Design Thinking and Agile Development to solve those problems. See the video below to get an idea of what Design Thinking is. Many CIT classes use these same processes to teach course content. So if you like to communicate and work with others to solve problems, you should consider a career in Information Technology and come to IWCC for your start!

Iowa Western’s CIT Department as a part of their course work an on-campus Cyber Defense Competition. This competition provides students with a simulation of real-life experiences in Information Assurance for the purpose of education. The state of the art equipment is housed in the department's own data center and is available for student training, activities and course work.
