Computers: Desktop Support Certificate

About the Program

The world of computers is fast changing, and you can keep up with the times with Iowa Western's Desktop Support program of study. It’s an ideal way to learn installation and management of computer hardware and operating systems. Upon completion of the program, you’ll earn a certificate.

Using the Microsoft Academic Alliance, this program is unique and cost-effective. Students can obtain some Microsoft software free or at a reduced cost. The program is perfect if you wish to become proficient in help desk operation, computer repair, and computer sales and service.

This program is very hands-on, a plus for those wishing to get up to speed as quickly as possible. The program complements other Iowa Western computer programs of study. Not all program courses are offered on-line or every year. Computer scholarship opportunities are available throughout the department. For those wishing to continue toward a bachelor’s degree, some classes will transfer to four-year institutions.
