About the Program
You can choose to get “lost in the crowd” of a large university while pursuing a degree in sports medicine or select Iowa Western’s Sports Medicine: General Education program to reach the ground floor of this sports injury/exercise-related career field. This wide-ranging program will reward successful candidates with an Associate of Science degree designed to transfer to four-year institutions to complete a bachelor’s degree.
With an advanced degree you will be eligible to seek employment in many different fields, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, corporate wellness, personal training, and exercise science.
Once you complete this program, you’ll be fully prepared to advance toward a bachelor’s degree at a four-year institution and a higher-paying position.
