The Nursing Profession
Nursing, a helping profession, is changing. As health care changes, so does nursing and the roles nurses perform. IWCC focuses on the nursing roles of communicator, teacher, manager, member of profession and manager of care. With these roles as a foundation nursing is taught as health maintenance, restoration and promotion.
With a ladder program in place, students graduate in one year with a diploma in Practical Nursing. Select students are eligible to advance to the second year to complete their RN education.
With a solid science background, and safe bedside nursing skills, IWCC nursing graduates, both PN and RN, are sought by local employers. Learn the technical, communication skills and management skills to work with clients, staff and professionals in select health care settings.
BSN articulation has been researched and programs are in place to further your education either part-time or full-time for career advancement.
