Welcome to the Page Fremont County Center in Shenandoah, Iowa

The center moved to the current location at 1001 West Sheridan in 2005 and serves Shenandoah and the surrounding communities with a wide variety of programming. Credit, Continuing Education, GED, and ELL (English Language Learner) classes offer a variety of education to all types of learners.Tutoring programs are also available.

Credit Classes

Iowa Western Community College’s Page Fremont County Center offers a variety of college credit classes designed to meet the college’s general education requirements.

Continuing Education

Continuing Education at the Page Fremont County Center in Shenandoah offers community members the opportunity to gain knowledge in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.  For example, students can take classes in fitness and gardening for recreation; personal finance and computers for personal development; and insurance, real-estate and CPR for license recertification. English Language Learners (ELL)

The Page Fremont County Center offers special tutoring sessions for those individuals interested in learning the English language. These free classes, taught in English, are available for anyone of any nationality. For more information contact the Page Fremont County Center at 712-246-1499.

Tutoring Programs

The Page Fremont County Center offers free tutoring to elementary students. Our tutors volunteer their time to help children who need a little extra help. Sessions can be set up during convenient after-school hours. For more information call 712-246-1499 or email pfccenter@iwcc.edu.

GED

The Page Fremont County Center offers GED instruction and testing to qualified individuals. A qualified instructor assesses each individual student to determine strengths and a starting level which results in an individualized instruction plan focused on the student’s needs. Iowa Western Community College offers GED testing in several Southwest Iowa locations.

GED class schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday   8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Monday evening  5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Note:  Students must have instructor approval to test
