COMMUNICATIONS PROCESSOR
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or higher strongly preferred.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience working in student services preferred, especially in Admissions or Financial Aid. Experience or training that demonstrates strong communication skills and strong organizational skills required. Must possess strong computer skills, particularly the ability to operate and understand programming for a complex student information system and the ability to perform all email functions in Microsoft Outlook. Ability to work as a contributing member of a high-energy Enrollment Services team in a fast-paced environment is a must.
Job Duties:
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing all aspects of student communication, both automated and manual, in a multi-faceted Enrollment Services department, including Admissions and Financial Aid.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages all automated communication assigned to prospective students, applicants, and current students via the student information system, including the processing, electronic tracking, printing, assembling, and mailing of all letters and emails.
2. Manages large segment of manual, date-specific communication to prospective students, applicants, and current students regarding admission, financial aid, registration, and payment status.
3. Maintains Admissions and Financial Aid communication timelines, and proactively ensures that communication deadlines are met.
4. Understands all Admissions and Financial Aid processes, policies, and requirements, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve or enhance communication.
5. Proofreads and edits all letters and emails, identifying any inconsistencies or mistakes, and communicates necessary changes or updates to appropriate staff members.
6. Works with various staff members to organize mailing campaigns by preparing the appropriate levels of materials and supplies, and managing the printing, assembling, and mailing processes.
7. Assists with the Admissions processes, including, but not limited to, admissions applications and change of major forms.
8. Assists with the Financial Aid processes, including, but not limited to, tracking documents and applying codes.
9. Assists with the Records and Registration processes, including, but not limited to, students registration and change of schedules.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary Range:
$11-$12 per hour
