 Children in the Middle

Children in the Middle provides education and affirmation for parents, with the primary focus on the needs of children of all ages. Topics include: parenting skills for divorcing parents, child's needs/survival techniques, healthy vs. problematic reaction of most kids, age specific needs of your children, and identifying how your child feels. Note: IWCC is an approved agency to satisfy the mandatory parent counseling required as of Jan. 1, 1997 pursuant section 598.19A of the Code of Iowa. This course meets those requirements.     $40

Learn basic computer concepts such as turning on and off correctly; main parts of a computer and their functions; desktop, icons, using the mouse to point and click, scroll, and drag; simple programs like Calculator, Paint, and Games for learning eye-hand coordination; and introduction to Note Pad.     $39

 Hapkido: Grades K-4

Hapkido is a traditional style Martial Art with Korean origins. Hapkido focuses on defensive techniques that include, joint manipulation, locks, throws, punching, and kicking. It is conducted in a safe, controlled environment and promotes confidence, self discipline and good health. This class is designed specifically for kids in grades K-4.     $30

 Sport Yoga

A complete mind-body workout that emphasizes functional strength, muscle balance, and flexibility.  This class is a safe exercise science supported practical style of yoga that is accessible, understandable, and achievable.  Instructor Sara Bridie is a certified YogaFit instructor, as well as a certified group fitness instructor for the American Council on Exercise.     $50

 Beginning Sport Yoga

This 60 minute yoga class is designed for individuals with little or no experience practicing yoga poses.  Students will be taught a variety of yoga poses.  A regular practice of yoga improves muscular strength and flexibility.  The poses will be introduced independent of one another, and time will be allowed for students to practice the poses and ask questions.  Mats, blocks, and straps will be provided in the class.  Participants should wear comfortable exercise clothing to class.  Questions regarding the class content can be addressed to Sara Bridie at (712) 542-7912.     $50

Youth

 Show Your Spirit!

Boys and girls in grades K-4 will get a chance to show their spirit before the Clarinda Football Games!  We will paint faces, make gender appropriate hair accessories and make great spirit tools.  We will paint nails and hair, too!  A great way to show Clarinda Cardinal Spirit!     $3

 Campus Kids: Turkey Day Fun!

Kids will spend the morning making great Thanksgiving Day crafts to share with the entire family while learning about this fun holiday!  They will even get to make their own 'turkey' snack.     $15
