Abuse Identification & Reporting for the Mandatory Reporter

Online and On-Campus classes available!

These three courses will fulfill the training requirement for mandatory reporters within six months of your hire date or self-employment in a specific occupation. Thereafter, you must complete at least two hours of dependent adult,child abuse or the combined dependent/child abuse training every five years. Once you register for the online course, you will have 90 days to complete the program and receive your certificate via email. Once you complete the online post-test with an 80% or better, you will receive a certificate within 2 business days.

Registration and System Requirements

Please Note: Iowa Western Community College’s online platform is called Moodle Rooms. In order to view the videos, you must use Internet Explorer 7 or above with Windows Media 10 or above. Windows XP operating systems is required along with a 256K or greater broadband connection to view.

If you want to view the videos on an Apple product, such as a Mac or IPAD, you must contact Teresa at troddy@iwcc.edu for further instruction.

You may register by phone, fax or in person. We will collect the same data used for a traditional face to face class but we will also need your email address. Payment methods include cash, credit card, or money order. Once you register and pay the course fee, you’ll be emailed the instructions for logging into the course. You will need to create a student account if this is the first time you have taken an online course through Iowa Western.

3. Online Adult/Child Combined Abuse Identification & Reporting for the Mandatory Reporter

Step 2. Complete the course

Step 3. Pass the post-test with an 80% or above

You will have 90 days to complete the videos and post-test. Once you complete the post-test with an 80% or above, you will receive your certificate of completion via email within 2 business days.
