Environmental Training

Iowa Western offers many new and innovative training programs to prepare workers for the emerging green environmental field. These trainings are focused on sustainable energy, environmental remediation, local food production, sustainable building, low impact development and eco-system preservation/restoration. In this course you will learn the place of the honey bee in the world, some history of beekeeping, biology in the individual bees and the colony, the hive and equipment for beekeeping, how to manage for honey product and honey bee disorders, parasites and nest invaders. Course taught by Lynn Danzer. Fee $59
