Concerned about the changes brought on by the Affordable Care Act? Whether you are an individual looking to learn more about the Affordable Care Act or a business needing to learn the requirements of employer sponsored health plans, this FREE workshop is for you! Discover what the federal government will require when the new laws take effect. Lynn will review the following topics: The Problem...Uninsured Americans and Rising Cost of Health Care (premiums). The Law... Guaranteed Issue Policies- no exclusions or restrictions, rate calculation (age, address, tobacco usage), individual mandate and penalty for not purchasing health insurance, employer group coverage (calculation of full-time equivalents, penalty for not providing coverage, quality and affordability requirement), and Health Exchanges- a new marketplace (Essential Benefits, Metallic Plans, Subsidies).
