Peer Tutoring And Academic Assistance
The Academic Support Center (ASC) provides academic assistance to any IWCC student, including peer tutoring and study skills strategies, to complement or supplement the instuction that the student receives in his or her classes.
Peer tutoring is available in most general requirement classes. All other offerings that are program specific are arranged in collaboration with the program faculty and based on student demand and tutor availability.
In addition to peer tutoring, the ASC also maintains a small computer lab of five computers, on which students will find a variety of tutorial software in a variety of subjects including math, writing, and spanish.
How To Get Assistance...
Schedule By TutorTo ensure that students receive individual attention, the ASC is now offering half-hour appointments for the subject fields of english, biology, business/accounting, and statistics. Students may schedule a tutoring appointment using our online scheduling system by clicking on the link below. Students will be required to create a username and password.
Schedule By SubjectWalk-in tutoring sessions are still available for math, english, science and computer classes. Please check the ASC Tutoring Schedule for hours of operation and subject availability as it changes each semester.
