Academic Support
TRiO/SSS provides a unique service to students taking math and/or writing courses. Faculty Math and Writing Specialists are available to provide professional tutoring to students during individual sessions in the TRiO lab. As part time instructors at IWCC, the Specialists lend their expertise in helping students to improve upon specific skills within math and writing and are instrumental in leading various academic workshops in TRiO/SSS. The Math and Writing Specialists maintain weekly hours, posted in the TRiO office and are available on a walk-in basis.

Grant Aid
The TRiO/SSS program offers scholarships to eligible students in the Spring and Summer semesters to help participants offset the cost of higher education.
Awards amounts vary and are based on several factors:
- Receiving a Pell Grant
- Participation in TRiO/SSS
- Unmet financial need
- GPA
- At least one semester in the program
