Finding Support on Campus

At Iowa Western Community College we understand the barriers that non-native English speaking students may have when pursuing their college degree. We provide numerous resources to help students overcome these obstacles.

Find Out How to Pay for College

Iowa Western Community College offers affordable tuition, but it can still be difficult to make ends meet. Students are encouraged to apply for the IWCC Foundation Scholarship. All Permanent Residents and Refugees are eligible to fill out the FAFSA in order to find out if they qualify for federal aid.

Get Help with Academic Difficulties

If students are in need of academic assistance, they can visit the Tutoring Lab to receive help. The TRIO Program offers an additional support system for those who qualify. Iowa Western Community College also offers an intensive ESL Program, with courses meeting twenty hours each week.

How to Make Connections and Get Involved on Campus

It is important to find your “niche” at Iowa Western Community College. Whether you enjoy hanging out in the library with friends, participating in athletics or taking part in cultural events on campus, it is important to get involved and develop relationships.
