What do I do at Iowa Western?
I am an Academic Advisor/Testing Specialist at IWCC. I supervise the test center on campus and go to area Iowa High Schools to administer the ASSET test. When I’m not out testing I am here helping students get registered for classes. If you ever need help picking out classes stop in and see me in Clark 214. 

IWCC Stuff

Favorite IWCC Moment:
On my second day of work at IWCC I was grabbing lunch in the cafeteria. Norm, one of the culinary staff, came up to me and asked me how I was doing; I guess it was obvious that I was new. Now every time I head to the cafeteria I look forward to talking to Norm. Everyone here is so friendly it is easy to feel at home!

IWCC Insider Tip:
Thursday is “Thirsty Thursday” in the bookstore. You get 2 pops for $2. Just what you need at the end of the week, caffeine.

 The student activity page is my favorite because getting involved in activities made my college experience more fun. I encourage every student to check it out. You might not know what you’re missing!

Favorite HULU or YouTube clip:
I love the video “Charlie bit my finger-again” It demonstrates some good life lessons. Learn from your mistakes and don’t repeat them. Plus, it is just cute.

Fun Stuff

What could you not live without?
I have grown attached to my GPS, not necessarily for the directions but because it can tell me all the different places to eat/shop within 5 miles. Who doesn’t love that? 

Community Service Involvement:
This year I have had the privilege of being involved in the local Relay for Life with my IW co-workers. We’ve been having a blast fundraising for a good cause. I’m proud to be part of such an awesome team. 

Hobbies and Interests:
-Traveling. I have been to a few places but want to see more
