VIP---Volunteer Institute Program
Everyone who volunteers at Iowa Western Community College has his or her own reason for doing so. Some of our volunteers donate a few hours each month, while others are at the college lending a hand much more often. It all depends on their schedules and lifestyles. Two things are certain:

Volunteer Opportunities:
- Serving as a community/county liaison on the VIP Board
- Providing leadership by being an advisory board member
- Performing clerical tasks
- Getting involved in fine arts activities
- Providing consulting services
- Making classroom presentations
- Singing in the Community Chorus
- Teaching adults to read
- Scoring tests
- Tutoring students
- Helping fundraise for scholarships
- Reading tests to students with special needs
- Plaing an instrument in the Community Band
