Admission Requirements
Admission to the college is granted to all individuals who are high school graduates or the equivalent. We encourage you to review our Getting Started Checklist for specific requirements for admission.
Program Information
The Automotive Technology Certificate programs of study allow students to choose from three options. These options provide an opportunity for students to achieve career enhancement or entry-level job skills. A certificate program must have approval from the program chair. Graduates of this program are awarded a certificate.
This particular program teaches the fundamentals of electricity and electronics, as well as a basis in chassis and engine electronics, and hand-on work in the automotive lab.
Another option would be to earn an Associate in Applied Science degree in our two-year Automotive Technology program.

The Automotive program's daily class schedule allows time for some employment; internships are available for qualified students at certain points in the program of study.
The Facility
The Automotive Technology program is located in newly renovated Dodge Hall. Bright, spacious, well-equipped automotive classrooms, labs, and shop facilities greatly enhance the student's learning experience. Dodge Hall also features a 70-seat auditorium, computer lab, and cutting edge instructional technology in its many spacious program-specific and general purpose classrooms and laboratories.
