Welcome to Legal Studies

    Legal Studies offers dynamic career opportunities. Iowa Western Community College offers two career choices within this overall field.
    The Pre-Law program prepares students for entry at the junior level in a four year college or university. Upon successful completion of an undergraduate degree (BA/BS), graduates can then apply to a law school of their choice. Graduates of the pre-law program earn an Associates of Arts degree.
    The Paralegal program offers a generalized study of the law from a paralegal perspective. The program offers a combination of legal classes and general education classes.  Paralegal program graduates earn an Associates of Science degree.
