Performance Ensembles
Marching Band and color guard

The Reiver pep and marching bands are appreciated by sports fans, teams, referees and music lovers alike. Known for their renditions of classic rock and funk tunes, the band livens up the atmosphere at every home basketball game in Kanesville arena. Scholarships are available for those who audition early.
Vocal Ensemble
The IWCC show choir “First Edition” consists of 26 singers that are energized by a back up band, singing and dancing pop/hip hop music. The “First Edition” is a great recruiting tool for the college as we perform for many area schools and community functions. Scholarships are available for music and non-music majors who perform in this ensemble.
Concert Choir
The IWCC concert choir consists up to 70 students and is selected thru an audition process. The concert choir sings a variety of literature from classical, secular and sacred selections. Scholarships are available for music and non-music majors who perform in this ensemble.
Men's Ensemble

The men’s ensemble is entitled “The IWCC Gentlemen” which consists of 8 to 16 men selected thru an audition process. The IWCC Gentlemen sing acappella TTBB music ranging from sacred to popular music. The men sing for many community functions becoming a great ambassador for Iowa Western Community College. Scholarships are available for music and non-music majors who perform in this ensemble.
Jazz Ensemble

The IWCC jazz ensemble is an eighteen member group selected by audition. Scholarships are available for music and non-music majors who perform in this ensemble. Students share a desire to learn more about jazz style, performance practice and history. Jazz literature showcasing music of the finest jazz composers and arrangers is studied in 3-4 rehearsals per week. The ensemble performs in IWCC's Arts Center, at civic functions and on tour.
Jazz Choir
Jazz Choir consists of 8 to 16 singers that are selected thru audition in the fall. The Jazz Choir sings jazz music that is accompanied and/or acappella. They perform on concerts and for community organizations in the spring.
