Admission Requirements
Admission to the college is granted to all individuals who are high school graduates or the equivalent. We encourage you to review our Getting Started Checklist for specific requirements for admission.
Program Information

The Technical Music program provides the basic curriculum for music majors found at any two or four-year college plus additional courses designed to create an entry-level working musician. Students completing the program will be able to function as music typographers, arrangers, live sound producers, digital recording assistants in a ProTools studio, and will have the ability to create their own digital recording environment.
Completion of the Protools 101 course and successfully passing the online test will award students a certificate from DigiDesign, the creators of ProTools digital recording software.
Graduates of this two-year program are awarded an Associate of Arts degree. Associate of Arts degree requirements may be found in the IWCC catalog.
If you love to sing or play a musical instrument, another option would be IWCC's Music Program where you will be exposed to music theory, sight singing, ear training techniques, and have a chance to gain valuable performance experience.
"The Sound Technology class at IWCC is an amazing opportunity for any individual seeking a career in radio or music." - Doug Miller, 2007
