PROGRAM INFORMATION

If your life goal is helping others, nursing may be for you.  Practical nurses are valued for their caring, empathy and compassion.  Practical nurses work with physicians, registered nurses and other health team members with many different groups of people.

Practical nurses take care of the elderly in long-term care, infants and children in specialty units, and young and middle aged adults in physicians clinics.

Iowa Western can prepare you for all of these roles and many more.  The program focus is on communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as direct nursing cares.
