"Bridges for Learning in Applied Science
and Technology" - IWCC is
a certified provider of educational service to the local AEA for
special education students. Students participation must meet all
of their graduation requirements and elect not to graduate from
high school. Students must be recommended by the IEP process to
continue their training in Iowa Western Career and Technical Programs.
College Credit
Iowa Western Community College offers students
in Area XIII several opportunities to earn college credit while they
are still in high school. These include Honors Early Start, Dual Credit,
Select Senior, Articulation, Post Secondary Enrollment Options, and
College in High School
Tech Prep Grant
Tech Prep is an articulated high school and community
college technical program of study that offers students learning
that leads to an associate degree, to an apprenticeship or to a four-year
degree.
Carl Perkins Grant
High Schools - Under the Perkins Act, federal
funds that are administered by the Iowa Department of Education
provide teachers in approved career and technical programs an opportunity
to expand and enhance their service for students. These programs
include Industrial Education, Family and Consumer Science, Business,
Marketing, Agriculture, and Health Occupations.
