CampusCore - Living Learning Community
What is Campus Core?
Supported through the TRIO/Student Support Services program, CampusCore is a residential learning community program where a small cohort of full-time freshman participate in a unique living/learning experience. During the program, students take two classes together in the fall, live on campus, and participate in structured study groups and workshops with an academic focus.
Components of campusCore
- Students are guaranteed the opportunity to live on campus, which not only allows them to focus on their classes, but also stay involved in campus life. Students have the option of living in the Reiver Suites, on-campus Apartments, or the Residence Hall.
- Students take “linked” courses together.

- are more actively involved both in class and on campus,
- feel that the quality of their learning was enhanced by being involved,
- felt more connected to the school and their peers, and
- stayed in school at much higher rates than those who did not participate in some type of learning community.
