Iowa Western’s Business & Community Education welding career programs and individual classes allow students to develop a working knowledge of welding techniques, equipment setup, and operations. Instruction is available for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) processes. Career programs prepare students for entry-level employment in today’s high tech manufacturing world. Individual classes are for those looking to improve their welding skills or to get a basic understanding of the skills for hobbies or repairs. The Intermediate Welding career program has FREE tuition assistance available to eligible Iowa residents through our Education 2 Employment program.
