About the Program

This course will present the skills needed to successfully use Microsoft Office and other common computer applications. These skills will allow the student to successfully use today’s computer technology and apply learned skills in a workplace setting and also prepare them for continuing their education in today’s digital learning environment.

Certified Bookkeeper

Education 2 Employment

Continuing Education provides this short-term Career Certificate in both the traditional and online classroom settings.

About the Program

This course prepares you for the National Certified Bookkeeper (CB) examination. 

Program to Include

  • Adjusting entries
  • Correction of accounting errors
  • Basic book and tax depreciation
  • Basic payroll
  • Inventory, internal controls, and fraud prevention
Prerequisites

High School Diploma or equivalent. Some bookkeeping experience necessary. 

Career & Salary Information

Certified Bookkeepers compile, compute, and record billing, accounting, statistical, and other numerical data for billing purposes. They also prepare billing invoices for services rendered or for delivery or shipment of goods, complete adjusting entries, and complete payroll functions. Additional education and training could lead to advancement in a bookkeeping or accounting position as well as supervision in the field. Faster than average growth is expected through 2024 (9% to 13%). Median salary: $16.85 hourly / $35,050 annually.

PC Technicians fix broken computers and other related computer devices as well as upgrade and configure them. PC Technician and repair is a fast-growing field. Earning your CompTIA A+ Certification means you have the knowledge and the technical skills necessary to be a successful entry-level IT professional in today’s environment. Average pay is $11 – $26/hour; $23,000-$54,000 annually. Entry-level positions will allow further training within companies or industries. Additional education with experience would lead to the supervision of others in completing the tasks associated with Network Support.
