Tuition Assistance for Continuing Education Classes

Are you in need of financial assistance for a non-credit course? There are several options available to you based on eligibility. You are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities.

Education 2 Employment Education 2 Employment

Education 2 Employment is a FREE college and career preparatory program designed to enhance students’ skills and employability while preparing them for vocational training and college degree programs. This program offers financial assistance to eligible Iowa residents who would otherwise not be able to afford job training.

What programs are approved for tuition funding?

The Education 2 Employment program provides free tuition funding for approved Continuing Education certificate training programs in occupations including:

  • Education 
  • Health Occupations
  • IT/Business
  • Manufacturing/Logistics

Financial assistance may include training tuition, textbooks, tools, certification fees, required materials and other services. 

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

IWCC Workforce Development administers the WIOA services in Region 13. The purpose of WIOA is to increase access and opportunities for employment, education, training, and support services to individuals. Youth, dislocated workers and long term unemployed individuals may be eligible for these additional services.
