Federal College Work Study (FWS) is a financial aid program that offers hourly employment to students on campus. Federal financial aid dollars fund the program. As an employment program, students are paid for the hours they work. Students are not paid to study.
To be awarded Federal College Work Study, a student must:
- Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
- Demonstrate financial need
- Remain in good financial aid standing
Job openings are posted on the Student Employment page in ROC. Students apply and interview for positions. The departments select the best qualified student for the position. Positions are limited and many jobs come on a first come basis.
Students employed on campus will receive a paycheck every other week. The starting wage is $9.00 per hour.
