Investing in Tomorrow’s Workforce
Thanks to strong community support and the successful passage of the 2025 bond referendum, Iowa Western Community College is moving forward with transformative career and technical education investments. Central to this initiative is the new state-of-the-art Transportation & Logistics Building on the Council Bluffs campus — a cutting-edge facility that will significantly expand training capacity for diesel technology, automotive technology, CDL training, and logistics. This building, along with strategic upgrades to CTE spaces in Atlantic, Clarinda, Council Bluffs, and Shenandoah, will modernize learning environments, double program capacity, and better prepare students for high-demand careers across southwest Iowa.
