100th Anniversary of our Clarinda Center
Iowa Western is proud to announce the 100-year celebration of the Clarinda Center. Built-in 1923 as Clarinda Junior College, the campus became the Clarinda Center of Iowa Western Community College in 1966. The Clarinda Center has educated thousands of students over the years through diverse and quality educational degrees programs like nursing and tool and die. The Center also has a storied history of college athletics; attracting student-athletes from across the nation to compete in football, basketball, baseball, and volleyball.
Whether through traditional credit courses, non-credit workforce training programs, or high school dual enrollment courses, students educated by the Clarinda Center have impacted communities throughout Southwest Iowa and beyond for 100 years. This significant community impact calls for a celebration!
The Clarinda Center has planned a full calendar of activities and events throughout 2023 and we invite alumni, past and present employees, and community members to join us as we mark this momentous milestone. This site will be updated as more details are available, so check back regularly.
