Clarkson College and Iowa Western Community College

Articulation Agreement

Omaha, Neb.: Clarkson College and Iowa Western Community College announce the signing of a new articulation agreement, providing students with a straightforward path to advance their education in healthcare science degree programs. Dr. Daniel Kinney, President of Iowa Western Community College, and Dr. Andreia Nebel, President of Clarkson College, will make the agreement official with a formal public signing ceremony on November 7, 2023.

“It is imperative that educators work together to decrease the cost of health care professional education by removing barriers to assist students directly into their next level of education,” stated Dr. Andreia Nebel, Clarkson College President. “This agreement puts us one step closer to helping solve the healthcare workforce shortage facing our communities. We are proud to partner with Iowa Western and look forward to working together to help students achieve their goals for many years to come.”

Iowa Western Community College students will move directly into a Clarkson College degree program. For example, a student will earn an Associate of Science degree from Iowa Western and will “articulate” or move straight into a Bachelor of Science degree program at Clarkson College ultimately simplifying the transition, saving students time, and finances, and undoing stress.

Dr. Daniel Kinney, Iowa Western Community College President said, “We are excited about this partnership with Clarkson College that will give our students an additional opportunity to further their education locally to the greater Council Bluffs area.”
