Step 1: Apply for Admission

Step 2: Send Your Transcripts

Ask your high school (or previous college) to send official transcripts directly to Iowa Western.
GED or HiSET transcripts are also accepted

Step 3: Explore Financial Aid & Scholarships

Complete the FAFSA to qualify for grants and loans
Apply for Iowa Western scholarships

*You’ll need official transcripts on file before your financial aid can be disbursed

Step 4: Apply for Housing (Optional)

Live close to everything! Choose from Reiver Tower, Village, or Suites.

*Housing fills quickly, so apply early for your best option.

Step 5: Register for Classes

Once you’re accepted, we’ll email you about New Student Registration (NSR).
You’ll meet your advisor, build your class schedule, and get ready for your first semester.

Acceptance Email

You’ll receive an email confirming your acceptance within 1-3 business days after all required admissions and fraud prevention reviews have been completed.
