Skills for Success is Southwest Iowa’s Earn as You Learn Program.
The purpose of this program is to bolster workforce retention by offering businesses training assistance. Local businesses can apply for reimbursement for training through Iowa Western. Funding for this program is made possible by the Iowa West Foundation.
Through the Skills for Success Program
Companies can request up to $10,000 for training and up to $14,000 for DOL/IWD registered apprenticeship training. Companies must have a plan to increase the wages of the employees within a quarter of completing the training. Businesses must be located in Pottawattamie County for this pilot project.
