This Moped safety course covers essential topics like Iowa moped laws, traffic safety, defensive driving techniques, and basic vehicle operation. This state-approved course meets the Iowa Department of Transportation requirements for moped licensing and helps students build the knowledge and confidence needed for safe, responsible riding. Our Moped Safety Class is the first step toward safer travel.

It is recommended you take a moped safety course before operating your moped. If you are at least 14 years old, but under age 16, a moped safety course is required by law. A student can take the class within 30 days of their 14th birthday; a license cannot be issued until they turn 14.
