ParaEducator Generalist Certification- Zoom (TEACH-1) 10/23/24 - Council Bluffs Campus

Class will meet each Wednesday from 6pm-8pm via zoom. The rest of the class will be on Canvas.
This is a six-week course that teaches individuals to work alongside a licensed teacher in the K-12 classroom setting. Online assignments and zoom sessions with the instructor are mandatory. Instruction is one time per week for two hours. Students will also complete a ten-hour practicum at a school of their choice.

Self-paced classes are taught asynchronously. Assignments are online. Students will complete modules each week which will allow for students to interact through threaded discussions to enhance their participation and understanding of class readings and materials. Required Textbook for Online Classes is ISBN: 0982165730 Stedi Substitute Teacher Handbook.

Cancellations: Iowa Western reserves the right to cancel any class where a minimum enrollment is not achieved or issues arise in staffing or scheduling. A full refund will be issued for all canceled classes.
Refund/Transfers/Withdrawals: You may cancel your registration 5 business days prior to the start of the class date and receive a 100% refund excluding the $50 non-refundable processing fee. IWCC must be contacted via phone or voicemail or email @ ce@iwcc.edu. Transfers may be made up to 2 business days prior to the start date of the class, unless otherwise noted in the class information. After that time, transfers will not be permitted and no refund will be issued. Transfers may be subject to $25.00 transfer fee. Non-attendance for a class does not constitute a withdrawal and refunds are not issued for non-attendance.
